What is Ear
Reshaping Surgery?
Also called otoplasty,
or "ear pinning,"
this surgery is
generally done to
reposition
protruding ears more
closely to the head.
Protruding ears can
cause emotional
distress for
patients and family,
and results of this
surgery can be very
gratifying.

Usually, the ear cartilage is
sculpted to create more natural curves, in addition to repositioning the
ear as a whole. The procedure can be performed in children from age
five, as well as in adults. The procedure can be performed in our
Beverly Hills office under local anesthesia with sedation, or in a
nearby outpatient facility. Patients generally return home immediately
after surgery, and recovery is approximately one week.
