Did
you know?
Unsightly bags
beneath the eyes can
be due to
protuberance of fat
from inside the eye
socket, or to loss
of fat beneath the
eyelid.
|
 |
Dr.
Torkian beleives
that most young
patients complaining
of lower eyelid bags have decreased fat volume at the lower orbital rim (the bottom part of the eye socket). This leaves the
relatively full lower eyelid fat appear to be bulging. In older patients the fat is frequently bulging in that area, and eyelid surgery may be necessary. For most young patients, however, surgery is neither desirable or necessary.
Dr. Torkian
has designed the " Thirties Eyelift"
to target the loss
of fat volume by
replacing it with
either injectable
fillers ( Restylane and Juvederm)
or your body's own
fat.
Below are examples
of lower eyelid
improvement
preformed with these
safe minimally
invasive procedures.

|
Patient 1
Thirties Eyelift
on a 31 year-old
female using
Restylane.
Injections were
preformed in the
area just below the
lower eyelid with
touch-up injections
approximately two
weeks after the
initial treatment.
Patient 2
Thirties Eyelift
on a 31 year-old
female using
Restylane.
Patient 3
Thirties Eyelift
preformed using fat
grafting technique.
This procedure
utilizes moderate
sedation and
liposuction
technique to harvest
fat from the trunk
or thighs that is
then used to fill
areas of the face
that have lost
volume.
The fat that is
grafted is generally
considered
permanent.
However, the initial
injections of fat
will only result in
approximately 60-80%
graft survival.
In order to have a
permanent 100%
correction, repeat
injections with
either frozen or
freshly harvested
fat are often
necessary.
